Canadian Metal legends ANVIL played their first Non-Anvil experience show in the United States in quite some time on December 10, 2009 in Connecticut at The Mohegan Sun Casino. That’s right, no movie, JUST METAL!!!

I made the drive from NY to CT  and witnessed Anvil’s full on metal assault in the Wolf Den.

Amongst their heavy hits, Anvil peppered in “Thumbhang” for the VERY FIRST TIME LIVE, which was recently recorded and is the bonus track on the re-issued version of “This Is Thirteen”. This is the first song Lips wrote, proving the metal stands the test of time, 40 years later, this song sounds fresh and new!
